
Prio has been playing traditional instruments like gamelan since 11 years old. He spent a couple of years learning music and Central-Javanese dance when he was in elementary school. The young Prio also had several regular performances in some Javanese cultural events.
His art and musical expression is not limited to traditional music. Modern music became his beloved hobby since he joined a theatherical club (pantomime and drama). He also had a band when he was at college.
During his study at Technische Universität München, he was involved in various arts and cultural activities and organisation. He was the Head of Art and Cultural Board of Swadaya Indonesia Muenchen, an organisation for integration and cultural exchange in Munich. Together with Dian, he founded and taught an angklung ensemble named Angklung Muenchen. He was also a member of Javanese gamelan ensemble, Imbal Gading.
He received his B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from University of Indonesia. After completing his M.Sc in Computational Mechanics at Technische Universität München, he moved to Hamburg . He is now living there and working as an engineer.
